Arabcin's monthly magazine. Issued in four languages (Arabic, English, French and Spanish), concerned with the activities of documentation, archives and Information sciences in general.
Areen constitutes a scientific, practical and information instrument that serves the objectives of Arabcin. These objectives are represented fundamentally in developing the mechanism of cooperation and coordination among Arab institutions working in the field of information, documentation and archives. On the other hand, it broadens the base of its international relations to manifest the elements of Arab humanitarian culture, which contributed and still goes on to contribute in the construction of human civilization.

Born in Al Tal Damascus Suburb in 1946.
PH.D in political sciences. Head of the National Information Center since its foundation in 1/7/1991. Head of the Executive Bureau of Arabcin since 1998. Reelected for another term during the Second General Assembly in 17/10/2001.
Actively participated in many symposiums and scientific conferences related to documents, library information and archives.
Published many articles and researches; the most important one is : Information the theory and practice.

Abou Soud Ibrahim
Born in Egypt in 1944. Licensed in literature, Library and Documentation Department, Cairo University and a diploma from the Press International Institute in 1975.
Manager of the Information and Research Center, and Deputy editor-in-chief of Al Ahram. Also a member of the editorial body in the International Policy Magazine and Strategic Report, issued by Al Ahram.
Deputy Head of Arabcin since 1998, and reelected for another term during the 2nd Genera; Assembly in 17/10/2001.
Participated in many forums and conferences on library sciences and related issues.

Born on 9 February 1966, Al Mahdia Tunisia. In 1987, studied at Tunisia University I, Department of History and Geography, Faculty of Human Sciences - 9 April.
Resided in Damascus- Syria since 1989. License in Political Sciences -international Relations in 1994. Joined the National Information Center in 1996 - Research and Translation Department.
Currently director of Information department at the Arab Club of Information.

Born in Al Raqqa, 1972, license in Information and Press, Damascus University, 1995. Editor in Information Magazine issued by the National Information Center 1999-2000. Editorial Secretary of Areen Magazine April 2000-2001. Since 2001 Editorial Manager of Areen. Published many articles and a book entitled : National Questions on the Syrian Cinema - 1995.

Joined the National Information Center since 2000. Worked in the Department of Research and Translation. Speaks French and fair in Spanish. Currently, Editorial Secretary of Areen at the information department in the Arab Club for Information and responsible for the Internet and E-mail section at Arabcin.
