The Armour of the Arab
League
On

State of Arab
League, Dr. Abdel
Majid Al Rifai
, Head of the
Arab Club.
Was
honoured with
the armour of
the Arab League
by the delegation
that attended
the 5th Arab seminar
for Information.
The delegation
was headed by
Mr. Mouhamad Jalal,
plenipotentiary
Minister; Mr.
Mouhamad Al Khatib,
Member and Mr.
Jamal Qaid, member.
The armour was
presented to Dr.
Al Rifai due to
extraordinary
efforts taken
towards activating
the practical
and theoretical
fields related
to documentation
archiving and
information sciences,
especially those
activities that
are directly related
to Joint Arab
work and involving
related institutions
(and which came
out with positive
results), despite
its relatively
"young age",
3.5 years, the
Arab Club for
Information.
Dr.
Hasana Muhy Eddin,
member of the
Executive Bureau
(Lebanon), received
the armour on
behalf of Dr.
Al Rifai. The
honouring Assembly,
which took place
at the main premises
of Arabcin, was
also attended
by Secretary of
Arabcin, Head
of the relations
and activities
committee of Arabcin
and several directors.
Secretary
of Arabcin honoured
by the Arab League
Mr. Bashar
Abbas, Secretary
of Arabcin, was
also honoured
by the delegation
of the Arab League.
Mr. Abbas received
a medal in honour
of his efforts
in the field of
documentation.
It is worth noting
that Mr. Abbas
is one of the
most active members
of the Arab Regional
Branch of the
International
Council for Archiving.
The Jordanian
Library Society
presents Dr. Rifai
with the honorary
armour.
A delegation from
the Jordanian
Library Society
presented Dr.
Abdel Majid Al
Rifai with, Head
of Arabcin with
the honorary armour
of the society.
Thedelegation
was headed by
Mr. Fadel Jamil
Klaib, head of
the society.
Dr. Al Rifai was
presented the
armour in honour
of his efforts
towards building
and enhancing
cooperation among
Arab institutions
working in the
field of information.
It is worth noting
that the Jordanian
Library Society
actively participates
in all Arabcin
activities via
its branch in
Jordan. Furthermore,
the Society is
one of the pioneering
Arab institutions
in joint work
and materializing
both the practical
and scientific
terminologies.
