Thesaurus in the Arab World

This article describes the Arab efforts to construct thesaurus since 1970s. The number of attempts to construct these thesaurus covered by the study is twenty four, very few of which have been thoroughly revised although they have been used and prepared for a long period. The article urges various parties to participate in the development of such an effort under an authorised umbrella.
