Abstract:
Compatibility problem between the human rights in knowledge and information property, and the principles and laws, which protect the author rights, has been explained. How laws and legislations for author's rights cope with the new development in information technology and the change of information resource formats from classical to electronic and the laws for information protection in databases and superior space have been presented. The important international laws and legislations, which help in information security in order to protect the intellectual property, have been reviewed.


Abstract:
All countries and international organizations are now very interested in protecting the collections and authors and inventors rights Because of that, many international agreements and specialized organization, which take care of the authors and inventors, have been established to give recommendations and services in order to protect the authors and inventors.
Jordan is one of the countries, which signed these agreements, and the government has been applying the Intellectual Property Protection Law. Intellectual property protection agreements, the important international agreements. and the role of WIPO are highlighted. Jordan as an example of author rights protection in the new information world and modern communications is explained.


Abstract:
This subject talks about the Author's intellectual protection in the Syrian laws and regulations. In addition, it explains all pertain with the Author's protection such as: definition of literary works, law of printing, authorship, and publishing from the date of French mandate till nowadays. The conclusion of this subject refers about the importance of amending the law of the "Authors' prptection" in Syria, especially Article No. /2385/ issued on 1924 in order to be able to equate all other countries.

Abstract:

The article revolves around documents and record categories in archives and the problems that persist among archivists at work. These problems include: a discrepancy between the level of training and practice, and the ability to perform the job well. The experience of the British Archive Center is a good exambel to illustrate. This process needs study, an experience in aestheticism and practice.

Technical specifications, National And Indusrial authourities standards have been discussed.
Technical committee of ISO (ISO/TC 46) and its Consulltant Group Membership were presented.
In addition to that, applications of documents photocopy ISO/TC 171 have been reviewed.
ICA Member participation in Standards and in particular the Industrial Standard for Archive Description was reported.
Records administration ISO/DIS 15489 was discussed in detail with introducing some imprtant suggestions.

Abstract:

The author, in his research, talks about the development of the law of right protection, the archivists' work in the south of Africa after the period of what so-called the racial discrimination, and its entry into the International Society. And consequently, new reflections arise on the archivists' work and their professional decisions which thereafter underwent to the law of rights protection.
The archive represents its peculiarity, which appears through the beneficiaries' services, supporting making right decisions, and preseving the national and human heritage.

Abstract:
Many important and sensitive disciplines including the level of intellectual literature are presented in the second part of "Distance Learning in Library and Information Science". The paper focuses on the 1987 system for library and infromation education, and gives an overview for the "Distance Learning in Library and Information Science" specialists point of views.
The types of distance learning, including programs and admission, classic students and distance learning, size of classes in distance learning, are presented.
Distance learners characters are explained. King Abdul Aziz as an Arab example of distance learning is given.

This specification gives the standard rules for the librarians and information specialists in order to put the abbreviations for serials and non- serial titles. Two titles will not Have the same abbreviation, and one abbreviation will not be signed for more than one title.
